Sani Spoors
At the heart of Sani Spoors is a bunch of local farmers who are passionate about mountain biking and about the beautiful area that they live in. They want locals and riders from all over the country to be able to come, experience, share and enjoy what they have here in the Underberg area.

The pristine dairy farms dotted along the Umzimkulu River and its tributaries with the cows feeding in the green pastures and with the backdrop of the Ukhahlamba Mountains, a magnificent setting to be out in the crisp fresh air riding on a mountain bike.

The vision is therefore to create a system of trails on the working farms, catering for all skills levels, that will allow riders to enjoy and “share” the area, while co-existing with the on-going farming operations.

Underberg Country Club
The Underberg Golf Club was formed in 1961 and in 1966 became the Underberg Country Club incorporating the cricket ground and became home to the Underberg Cricket Club.

Situated on the edge of Underberg village towards Kokstad.

It has a 9-hole golf course, swimming pool, braai area, squash court, cricket & hockey field.

The golf course is good condition and the views are spectacular. A couple of water holes and some tricky dog legs make the a really enjoyable golf course.

There is a Function room and light meals served all day including a well stocked bar.

The Underberg-Himeville Trout Fishing Club
The Underberg-Himeville Trout Fishing Club was founded in 1954 by a group of concerned farmers who wished to make the fishing on their properties available to the general public.

At the moment the Club controls about 16 still waters and 14 river beats over 60 km on the Umzimkulu and Pholela Rivers.

The dams are stocked regularly with rainbow trout and, in some of the dams, with 10 % brown trout.

The river population of rainbow trout is self-sustaining and in equilibrium, which means that the river fishing is completely natural and that the fish are wild.

Some of the still waters have bass populations.
