Sports Events in Underberg
Underberg & Himeville Sports Events
Our mission is to responsibly organise a multi-day, paired mountain bike event that attracts the interest of both local and international competitors.

We aim to bring the challenge of this multi-disciplined event within reasonable reach of all levels of athlete.

The Sani2c runs for three days, the trail, the adventure and the race. The three category starts take place on each morning at 8:00 am on Glencairn Farm on the Sani Pass road just outside Himeville.

The race has three stages and each stage takes a day.

An exhilarating finish through Moodie Lane leads you onto the famous, long, floating bridge that snakes across the lagoon for 600m.

Leaving the bridge it’s a short dash to the finish and the awaiting crowds on Scottburgh Main Beach.

Safire Berg 100
The Berg 100 takes place between two iconic villages - Nottingham Road and Himeville.

What makes this race unique to any other in SA is that due to the nature of the route we are able to change directions every year, allowing the rider a completely "new" ride every year!

This year the race will start in Himeville and end in Notties.

A great race in it's own right, the Safire Berg 100 is also the perfect preparation ride for Sani & JoBerg2C - to make sure the training is paying off and to spot any chinks in the armour, 7 weeks prior to the event.

The climbs are long, but so are the descents, and the riding is designed to make the route fast, not technically difficult.

A ride not to be overlooked, tough but very rewarding, a challenge of note !
